We’re currently on the lookout for talented product leads to join us in our (fast growing) studio in SOMA, San Francisco.
So if think you’ve got what it takes to deliver digital products and services that break new ground for some of the biggest brands on the planet, we can’t wait to hear from you
About the role:
At Potato, best in class software development and human-centred design are at the heart of everything we do. We’re a talented bunch of problem solvers who are committed to finding a better way; delivering smarter products that provide more satisfying experiences and more valuable outcomes for our clients and their users. Our clients include Google, Mozilla and the BBC.
Working in close partnership with our Agile Coaches, our Product Leads are accountable for developing the vision and strategy as well as product roadmapping and maintaining an evolving set of features via product backlog. Working alongside designers, coaches and engineers, you’ll be responsible for defining requirements and desired outcomes and measuring throughout projects the delivery against that criteria.
Essentially, a Potato Product Lead is our version of the client Product Owner and therefore builds a close working relationship with them, providing the core foundation for tracking progress against any agreed business goals. A Potato Product Lead develops a solid understanding of the product’s users through continuous research and validation sprints. They also develop deep knowledge of the client marketplace, the product’s competition, and future trends affecting the product’s domain.
Our Product Leads have the key responsibility to deliver business value and the desired outcomes for the product, motivate the product team with a clear, elevating goal, and keep the team true to it during development. As such, you should have experience of working within teams in leading agile product development, as well as a sound understanding of business strategies.
In having to define requirements, measure outcomes and validate our solutions, you should have experience running research, using analytics and being able to turn insight into actionable user needs. This role also requires working with a variety of different partners and as such depends upon strong relationship management.
